Helen Ek Heller aka “Helen Heller” 1919-1974 (Née Helen Olive Ek) was a professional photographer, sculptor, and modern dancer based in Westchester County, New York. Her work included photographs and sculptures of dancers, photographic illustrations of four children’s books (two published), visual artists, and poets, several of whom became prominent in their fields. She had two solo exhibitions of her artwork in New York City, and choreographed multiple dance performances in Westchester County. She created sculptural portraits using plaster and bronze. She also created photographic portraits. Her art and life reflected her commitment to multiculturalism, anti-war activism, religious tolerance, feminism, and gender and racial inclusivity.
